Mrs. J. F. Hefner Died Suddenly while Touring the WestRelatives and friends in Lexington were greatly shocked when the message was received here that Mrs. Hefner had died suddenly at Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone Park while on a western tour with members of her family.Her illness was caused by a clot at the base of the brain and was of very short duration. She had been in excellent health and had been greatly enjoying the trip until the brief and fatal illness.She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Armstrong and was born in Lexington. Almost her entire life was spent in Lexington. She was married to Joseph Fred Hefner of Lexington on Sept. 20, 1898.Mrs. Hefner had six sons, all of whom survive. They are Robert, Donald, Bert, Harmon, Claude and Richard. There are 3 granddaughters. She was survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. Hugh Jones, Mrs. Fred Dean, Mrs. Leslie Zweng and Mrs. Orin Pettit.She was a member of the Christian Church and the Royal Neighbor Lodge. She was devoted wife and mother.
