Obituary - Enos Wolfe. Preston County Journal. Kingwood, WV. Thur., May 12, 1910.
Excerpt -- Enos Wolfe was born near Kingwood, Mar. 2, 1830. He departed this life Saturday May 7, 1910. His age was 80 years, 2 months and 5 days. He was the father of eight children, of whom six are still living. His wife, who was formerly Miss. Tabitha Cobun, was buried about eleven years ago. Of his children, Mary became Mrs. Ezra Teets and lives at Anderson. Sarah married Daniel Braham and lives near Irona, where Simon also lives. Edward and Coleman reside at Kingwood, while Garrett has his home near Shinnston. He also has three brothers and three sisters that are living. Ami and Ezra live near Clarksburg, Elias at Monongah. Mehela married Mr. Metheny and lives at Long Run in Doddridge County. Mary became the wife of Mr. McGinnis and took up her home in Anderson. Susan also married a Mr. McGinnis and removed to Cornwallis in Ritchie County. The deceased however stayed practically his whole life in Preston County and more or less closely to Kingwood. He is well know here and neighbors gathered in large numbers at the Braham home near Trowbridge's Ferry on Sunday afternoon to pay their last respects, and to bring his remains to Kingwood for interment. He had asked before his death for the pastor of the Kingwood Presbyterian church to conduct his funeral. Rev. Ramsey was taken out immediately after Sunday morning worship to preform the service. (Note: he married Tabitha Menear May 25, 1854 in Preston Co., WV, not Tabitha Cobun.)
