Obituary
Hans Krogh passed away at his home in Wauwatosa, Wis., on, Tuesday, February 29, 1944.
Mr. Krogh was born in Norway on May 26, 1864. He came to this country with his parents when he was a young man. The family settled at Deer Park. He was married to Nettie Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Smith former residents of Deer Park. In the spring of 1890 they moved to Hayward where he resided continuously until 18 years ago when he left for Milwaukee and Wauwatosa, where he had resided since.
Survivors are two daughters, Anna Krogh and Mrs. Ruth Moberg; two sons, Harley and Warren Krogh; one daughter-in-law, Averil Krogh; one son-in-law, Axel Moberg; two grandchildren, Milton Moberg of the U.S. Navy, and little David Warren Krogh. Mrs. Krogh preceded him in death 24 years ago. He was also preceded in death by four infant daughters.
He is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. Oscar Johnson, Spring Valley; Mrs. Tillie Rudiseill, Mrs. Elsie Rudisell, Elmer Olson and Albin Olson, all of Baldwin; George Alexander and Mrs. Edna Karshnia of St. Paul; Mrs. Julia Grando and Ben Severson of Minneapolis; Mrs. Thora Ofstie, Menomonie, Wis., Mrs. Walter Wicklund, Grantsburg; Dr. Victor Knerr, Amery; Mrs. Alice Knerr Birkel and Owen Knerr of Hammond, Ind.; and William Knerr of Tacoma, Washington.
Mr. Krogh was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Modern Woodman.
The remains were brought to New Richmond, Wis., where funeral services were held from the Beebe Chapel on Friday afternoon, Rev. Dahl officiating. Interment in the family lot at Calvary cemetery, Deer Park, Wisconsin.
Mr. Krogh did not criticize nor judge others, but lived in giving his services, not only to his immediate family but to others as well.
