Services for Richard Earl Coffey Sr, 79, of 2109 NW 26, will be at 10 am Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery directed by Guardian Midtown Funeral Home. He died Monday in a local nursing home. Coffey was born at Cashion and moved to Oklahoma City in 1923. He was a teacher and athletic coach at Classen High School for 27 years. He was a veteran of World War I, a Mason, and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He graduated from Kendall College with a BA in 1916 and later received his Masters degree from Oklahoma City University. He is survived by his wife, Lois; and two sons, Richard E (Jr) of Wewoka, and Bob, 3116 NW 27. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Ridge Nursing Home.
