OAKDALE, La. - Laura Jordan, 78, died Sunday at 11:20 a.m. in a Bastrop hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today in Mount Hope Baptist church with Revs. Albert Nugent and Sylvester Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Cryer cemetery under direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home, Oakdale.
She is survived by her husband, Vollie Jordan of Oakdale; five sons: Harmon Jordan of Springfield, Mo., A.D. Jordan of Oakdale, Hamilton Jordan and Pat Jordan, both of San Antonio, Tex., and Harold Jordan of Bastrop; three daughters, Mrs. Verna Owens of Baytown, Tex., and Mrs. Jewel Frost and Mrs. Ruth Stevens, both of San Antonio, Tex.; one brother, Leander Johnson of Oakdale; two sisters, Mrs. Luretha Hallet of Holiday, Tex., and Mrs. Arbelle Dotson of Richmond, Va., 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
