Miss Callie Scruggs married Ernest G. Ashe in Sherman, Mississippi on 25 December 1921. He preceded her in death in 1963.
Mrs. Ash moved to Fort Worth following her marriage and lived there until moving to Breckenridge in 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Breckenridge. Mrs. Ashe was a former member of Central Christian Church in Fort Worth.
Survivors: Mrs. Bill "Anna" Black and Mrs. Robert R. "Ernestine" Bridges; four grandsons; one granddaughter; eight great-grandchildren.
