David L. Szabo, 72, USMC veteran, of Prospect Park, an avid hunter and builder of model trains, died peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2011.
He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen (nee Whiting) and Jean (nee Pearce); loving father of Donna Jean (Michael) McGonigal and Victoria (Don) Thomas, both of West Chester; brother of Harriet Stahre, Charles Hugo, Nancy Scully, and the late Lillian Kosicki; and world's greatest pop-pop of Brandon and Joshua Thomas, and Ashlee and Shawn McGonigal.
Family and friends are invited to David's Life Celebration, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 13, at the James F. Knoetgen Funeral Home of Morton, 746 Kedron Ave. (Route 420).
Interment will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.
In lieu of flowers, donations to may be made in David's memory to The Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106; and The American Heart Association , P.O. Box 15120, Chicago IL 60693.
