Funeral service for William Preston Stone 77 were held at 2:08 pm Monday April 13 1964 in the Baptist Church Rev Richard Brooks officiated Marilyn Clark and Bill Beckham sang "Old Rugged Cross" Miss Harriet Lay was the organist Casket bearers were nephews of Mr Stone Interment was in the Hominy City Cemetery under the direction of the Powell - Funeral Home William Preston Stone was born October 8 1886 in Salyersville Kentucky and passed away in a Tulsa hospital April 10, 1964
He left Kentucky In 1907 and came to Indian Territory Just before Statehood. He moved to Hominy in 1913.
Survivors are his daughter Mrs Vera Owen Hominy, one sister Mrs Cornelia Mlnlx of Pawhuska: one brother W K Stone of Hominy six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
