MADISON TWP. - Donald J. Rodgers, 65, of Madison Township, died July 19, 1993, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a period of illness.

Mr. Rodgers was born March 2, 1928, to Dayton and Ethel M. (Brown) Rodgers. He married Ruby Brockway August 3, 1949, she survives.

Mr. Rodgers was employed by Funny Farm Campground near Pioneer, Ohio until September 1992 when he retired due to poor health. He also owned and operated a lawn mowing service. He loved camping, fishing and gospel and country music.

Mr. Rodgers is survived by three sons, Thomas of Weston, Ronald of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Roy of West Unity, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. James (Susan) Wright of Adrian; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Jack and Daniel Rodgers of Toledo, Robert Rodgers of Oklahoma City, Okla., Richard Rodgers of Bear Lake, Mich., David Rodgers of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Frank (JoAnne) Ollis of Weston; and his mother, Mrs. Ethel Rodgers of Adrian. He was preceded in death by his father in 1952 and a brother, Billy.

The funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Braun Funeral Home, Adrian, with the Rev. Thomas Skoog officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Friends may call at the Braun Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
