Frances M. Schlechter, 77, Cumru Township, died May 21, 2008, in Reading Hospital.

She was the widow of Aaron Schlechter, DDS, who passed on July 22, 2002.

Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Alois and Julia Stuckart.

She was a registered nurse working at Community General Hospital, Reading, where she served as past president of their women's auxiliary.

She was a member of Shomrei Habrith Synagogue, Reading, whee she served as past president of the women's auxiliary.

She was a graduate of the Hanneman School of Nursing, Scranton.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann (Schlechter) Cucinotta, wife of Jim Cucinotta, Wyomissing; and three sons: Dr. Benjamin Schlechter, husband of Ivy Schlechter, Wyomissing; Michael Schlechter, Cumru Township; and Alan Schlechter, husband of Melissa Schlechter, Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a sister, Shirley Barnum, Missoula, Mont.

There are also eight grandchildren: Sam, Seth, Rachel, Samantha and Emily Schlechter; and Emily Schlechter; and Gabrielle, Rebekah and Nathan Shaffer.

She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Thomas.

Graveside services will be this afternoon at 2:30 in Shomrei Habrith Cemetery.
