Barton E. DuBay of Warren, Michigan, entered eternal life on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital Macomb Center in Warren, Michigan. He was 87 years old.

Barton was born May 25, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Barton DuBay and the late Laura (nee: Vanderwill) DuBay.

After serving in the United States Army, Barton began working for the United States Post Office as a Postal Carrier. He married his beautiful wife, Kathryn (whom he met on a blind date) on March 2, 1946 and the two were able to share 65 wonderful years together. They enjoyed dancing and raising their son David.

Barton was a hard working man, a handy man, and a great father. He was very meticulous in everything he did. Some say it was his was way or it would be the wrong way. He will be remembered for all of his hard work and for his love for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kathryn, and is the loving father of David (Patricia) DuBay and devoted grandfather of Kristen, and Michael DuBay. He is the dear brother of Dolores (Robert) Amsler, and the late Helen (Harry) Deneweth.

Visitation: Wednesday July 13, 2011 from 5-9 pm with a 6 pm Rosary prayed at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd at Common (12 ½ mile).

Funeral Service: Thursday July 14, 2011 at 11 am at the funeral home with Father Roman Pasieczny officiating.
