Carrie was the 12th or 13th? child of Kate Stroker and James Wallace. She married Meredith Leon Kilgore on Dec. 26,1941. During the war she held jobs in factories to support the troops. She had 5 children, Doris Specht, Glen Kilgore, Lois Owen, Deborah Kilgore and Gail Boley. She raised her children in California from 1953 until returning to Missouri in 1974. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was also a tremendous worker. Always helping others. Missed so very much by her family.
