The old Old Catholic Cemetery database lists him as an infant burial with a death date as 1912. The death year inscribed on his grave marker is 1912.

La Crosse diocese records, specifically St. Bartholomew Church, Trempealeau, Book 1, Deaths/Burials 1874-1913, lists his date of death as Nov 1912 at the age of 5½ days, date of burial 30 Nov 1912, parents Mr. & Mrs. Louis Vanisky.

His father was Louis Vanisky, was born in 1872 in Michigan ... His mother was Anna (Goetz) Vanisky, who was born about 1876 in Wisconsin ... Louis and Anna were married June 11, 1901 in Door County, Wisconsin.

His two older sisters, (Ruth Marie (1902-1995) and Leone Margaret (1905-1950), were born in Ashland, Wisconsin where the family lived before moving to Trempealeau, Wisconsin.

While the exact date the family moved to Trempealeau is unknown, it would have to be about 1911/1912 ... His father was listed as a Cook from 1903 to 1910 in the annual city directories for Ashland, Wisconsin and he was born in 1912 in Trempealeau, Wisconsin.

Winona newspaper archives state the parents were proprietors of the Trempealeau Hotel after World War I.

His father died in 1918 and is buried in Door County.

His mother was listed as a widow in the 1920 federal census and Winona newspaper archives dated January 15, 1921 state "Mrs. Anna Vanisky has sold her hotel interests at Trempealeau."

Winona newspaper archives also show that his mother married the widower Hans Peterson who passed away in 1924 ... When his sister Leone died in 1950, his mother and other sister Ruth were living in California.
