Aurele J. Talbot Jr., 72, of the 200 block of Glendale Ave., a retired Navy chief petty officer, died Dec. 17, 1990, in a hospital.
Mr. Talbot, a native of Springfield, Mass., a chief torpedoman, had retired after 32 years. When he retired in 1968 he was believed to have logged in more time in submarines than any other enlisted man - more than 25 years of underseas service on 11 different submarines. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch 60 and the Tidewater chapter of Submarine Veterans of World War II. He was a former manager of the D & S C.P.O. Club.
Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn T. McCullin of Virginia Beach; his stepmother, Agnes T. Gosselin of Springfield; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Edward L. Richardson. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Navy Relief Society, 7920 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk 23505.
