MARIE VERMAAS SPOMER

Spomer, Marie Vermaas, 82, Lincoln, died Tuesday (10/24/06). She was born to Evert and Minerva (Ford) Vermaas near Stamford on Aug. 20, 1924. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1942 and studied art at University of Nebraska under the late Thomas Coleman. Marie was a member of the Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants and the Nebraska Huguenot Society.

Survivors: husband, Eugene; sons, daughters-in-law, Robert and Beverly Spomer, Buena Vista, Colo., Stephen and Grayson Spomer, Lincoln; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, sister-in-law, Chester and Aileen Vermaas, Sedalia, Mo.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln Memorial Park.
Visitation: one hour prior to services, funeral home. Memorials: The Monarch, 4201 S. 78th St., Lincoln 68506.
