Earl E. Craven Sr.
(February 26, 1931 - July 15, 2011)
Earl E. Craven, Jr., 80, of Marseilles, passed away Friday July 15, 2011 at Kewanee Hospital.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marseilles with Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles with Military Honors by the Marseilles Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles.
Earl was born February 26, 1931 in Marseilles to Earl Sr. and Alice (Gettler) Craven. In 1948, he married Mildred Higgins of Marseilles who survives.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by Beker Industries/Texas Gulf/ P.C.S for 32 years until his retirement.
Survivors include: his wife Mildred, four daughters, Connie (Jack) Trybus of Cedar Hill, TX, Theresa (John) Allen of Ottawa, Linda Craven of El Paso, IL, and Joan (Donald) Bennett of Ottawa; one son, Tom Craven of Baroda, MI; seven grandchildren, Jacque Lednicky, Dawn Barber, Colleen Allen, Neil, Sarah and Drew Craven and Donny Bennett; and one sister, Alice Rickelm of Marseilles.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Waters.
