Cecile T. Beaudoin, 86, died July 20, 2008, at Ridgewood Nursing Home, Bedford, surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 21, 1922, in Sherbrooke, P.Q., Canada, to Hermenegile and Florence (Gagne) Lessard. She was raised and educated in Canada. In 1961 she became a permanent resident of Manchester.
During the early years, she worked at home, raising her children. She worked in housekeeping at VA Medical Center in Manchester for 12 years.
She loved to cook and sew and during her retirement she enjoyed shopping, playing bingo with friends and taking care of her grandson.
She will be remembered by her great pork pies, peanut butter fudge, and taffy she made on the snow for her family. Most of all, she'll be remembered for the love she had for family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Beaudoin, in 2006 and a son, Gaetan J.G. Beaudoin, in 1969.
Family members include her son, Michael Beaudoin and wife, Judith, of Hooksett; three daughters, Andree Lavoie and Hubert Cote, Lise Chapdelaine and her husband, Robert, and Dorothee Miner and her husband, Thomas, all of Manchester; five grandchildren, Eric Lavoie, Isabelle Cornell, Melissa Drew, Michelle Beaudoin and Dan Smith ; five great grandchildren, Marcus Drew, Tyler Drew, Megan Cornell, Rylee Cornell and Avery Lavoie; and her sister, Gemma Fortin of Bridgeport, Conn.
Memorial Mass celebrated Saturday [July 26, 2008] at 11 a.m. at Ste. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave, Manchester. Burial followed at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
