Jame Henry Hess Jr., 76, Fielding, Utah, died of causes incident to age Tuesday, in a Roy, Utah Hospital.

Born November 14, 1887, in Plymouth, Utah, to James Henry and Elizabeth White Hess Sr. The family moved to Fielding, Utah when he was a small child. He was reared and educated in Fielding, Utah.

He married Alice Tovey on January 27, 1909 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died January, 1929.

Active member of the LDS Church, served a mission 1911-13, in the Sunday School and Genealogical Society of the Fielding Ward.

Surviving are: sons and daughters: Earl T. Hess, Kearns, Utah; Norman Lee Hess, Sunland, California; Mrs. Joe (Nola) Barton, Buena Park, California; Mrs. William (LaRue) Jardine, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. David L (Zelda) Emery, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Horace N (Myrtle) Rappleye, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Howard D (Ruby) Henderson, Salt Lake City, Utah; 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be held in the Fielding Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
