Son of William Cox Mullenix. Married to Estella Bly on Aug. 30, 1885 at Spring Valley, Minnesota. Five children: Glen, Rollin Avis; Chester Bernard; Flossie; Roy Edward.

J.H. Mullenix Hancock, Dies at Hospital
Julian H. Mullenix, 86, Hancock, died at 1:45 this morning at Riverview hospital where he had been a patient since September 7. Prior to moving to Hancock in 1942 he had long been a resident of the town of Rome, Adams county.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced tomorrow. The body is at the Baker mortuary.
Mr. Mullenix was born at LaValle, Wis., on December 17, 1863, the son of Rev. and Mrs. William C. Mullenix. He married Estella Bly at Etna, Minn., on August 30, 1885. They resided at Spring Valley, Minn., until 1894 when they took up a homestead in Adams county, residing there 13 years. Then followed six years on a farm near Wild Rose and five years in the town of Rudolph. They returned to the old homestead in 1918 and continued to reside there until the death of Mrs. Mullenix in 1935.
On December 6, 1931, he married Cora Belle Holmes in Wisconsin Rapids and had resided on a farm near Hancock since that time.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Roy E. Mullenix, New Rome, Bernard C. Mullenix, Wild Rose, and Rollin A. Mullenix, Wisconsin Rapids; six step sons, Robert Holmes, Janesville; Clifford Holmes, Hancock; Vern Holmes, Big Fish and Ernest Holmes, Coloma; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren

Rites Tuesday for Julian H. Mullenix
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church for Julian H. Mullenix, 86, Hancock, who died Friday morning at Riverview hospital. The Rev. F.F. Knickerbocker is to officiate with burial to take place in Spring Branch cemetery in the town of Rome, Adams county. Friends may pay their respects at the Baker mortuary …
