Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Dr. Ray Freeman officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 10:00 AM till time of service.
Interment will be in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bragg was born September 3, 1919, the sixth of seven children, to Mary Lucinda (Ludie) Rountree Smith and George Patrick Smith. She was preceded in death by sisters: Clarice Rauton and Sallie Mae Brown Durden and brothers: Hugh Lloyd, Harold Jacob, George Pierce, and Albert Lamar Smith; husband, Henry Grady Radford (died 1982) and husband, Emory Brantley Bragg (died 2006).
Mrs. Bragg was a volunteer at Emanuel County Hospital for nearly a decade and on several occasions was recognized for having the most total hours of service. From October 1985 until May of 1992 she had served a total of 2,294 hours. She worked for Twin City Manufacturing Company for many years and in addition was a homemaker and assisted in the management of the family farm. She was a woman of exemplary character, a good cook, excellent gardener, and a friend to many. She was a lover of nature and the land and she had a great love for God, family, community and country. As a young woman, she joined the Wilcox Chapel Methodist Church. She attended Sardis and Antioch Primitive Baptist Churches.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews
