Kenneth Gale Alexander, 76, of Kirklin passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Born June 5, 1935 in Clinton County, Ind., he was the son of Glen E. and Thelma (Baker) Alexander.

He was a farmer for more than 35 years and a tax preparer for more than 27 years. During his early years, he was a heavy equipment operator for Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served as chairman of Sugar Creek Agricultural Committee, served on County Property Tax Board of Assessment, and served as a "runner" for the Clinton County Election Board.

He was a 1953 graduate of Sheridan High School. He received State Farmer Degree in high school and was very active in FFA and 4-H. He enjoyed collecting model toy tractors, books and old papers and magazines about Sheridan and Kirklin.

He was a 1953 graduate of Sheridan High School.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra S. Anderson whom he married on June 17, 1956; sons, Michael (Sheri) Alexander of Fishers and Scott (Connie) Alexander of Mulberry; grandchildren, Bethany and Nathaniel Alexander of Mulberry and Ashley (Jason) Clarkson of Fishers; niece, Julie Ginn; nephew, Dylan Ginn; and sister, Janice (David) Ginn of Carmel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St. in Sheridan. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Merton Bobo officiating. Interment will occur at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
