Maurice Beach

Maurice M. Beach, 83, of Wickenburg, died Jan. 17 in Boswell Memorial Hospital, Wickenburg.

He was born April 1, 1903 in Caro, Mich. He has been a resident of Wickenburg since 1968.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Beach, of Wickenburg; one daughter, Maurine Longstreth, of Wickenburg; one brother, Kenneth Beach, of Michigan; one sister, Betty Mogelgaard, of Clearwater, Fla., and two granddaughters.

Beach was a retired brigadier general in the U.S. Air Force, after 26 years of service. He was very active in Wickenburg community affairs. He was a member of the Order of Daedalians and Retired Officers Association. He received the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, American Defense Medal, French Legion of Honor, two Crois' de' Guerre French Medals and World War II Victory Medals during his service with the Air Force.

Memorial services will be Jan. 22, 1:30 p.m. at Sunland Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City.

Arrangements are being made by Sunland Mortuary, Sun City.
