She retired from Norton's dietary and was a member of A.S.P.C.A. Etta is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wathen.
She is survived by her children, June Morton, Jo Etta Lasley (Ron), Bill Vormbrock (Cathy), Donna Cogburn, and Donnie Wathen (Renee); four brothers; two sisters; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
There will be a funeral service at noon Tuesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy., with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Humane Society of Louisville.
