Calvin C. Ruf, 76, of Taylor Mill, died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at his home. He was a postal carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, a member of Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 345 F&AM and Valley of Covington Scottish Rite, and was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Dorotha Ruf, died in 1998.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Stahl and Sheila Steuart, both of Covington, and Judith Sizemore of Phoenix; a sister, Joann Dewart of Chico, Calif.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Latonia Lakes. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Catchen Funeral Home, Elsmere, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice Home Care, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.
