Mrs. Nancy Jane Stuart, of Bridge road, South Hills, died Monday morning at her home. She was 85.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Barlow mortuary chapel. Burial arrangements are incomplete.

Mrs. Stuart was born September 9, 1852 near Gallipolis, Ohio. In 1871 she married James Robert Stuart, of Gallipolis. Mr. Stuart died several years ago.

For several years Mrs. Stuart was a resident of Charleston. She was an active member of the Elizabeth Memorial Church, South.

Surviving are one son, G. A. Stuart; three daughters, Mrs. Charles F. Armitage, Mrs. Cort Buck and Mrs. Frank Mullen, all of Charleston; a sister, Mrs. Rachel Katherine Saunders, of Huntington; a brother, John Houch, of Salem, Neb.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Stuart's six grandsons will act as active pallbearers. The body will remain at the Barlow mortuary until Tuesday when it will be removed to the home.
