Joseph Jay (Fay) Archer, 64, respected and long time employee of Chino mines died of a heart attack Saturday in Truth or Consequences where he had resided since retirement four years ago. He came to Grant County in 1914 locating in Santa Rita. Survivors are his wife, Mrs Deborah Archer, three sisters, Mrs Kathie Bean, Miss Mary Lee Archer, and Mrs Gertude Plaster, Los Angeles and a brother E.L. Archer Lynford, TX. Funeral services were held Monday at the Curtis Mortuary Chapel. The Rev Harold E. Johnson conducting the rites. Graveside burial service were held by the Santa Rita Lodge of Masons in the Masonic cemetery.
