Bruce L. Arnold, 56, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Elmhurst. Burial will be in Mt. Emblem. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday and until service time Thursday at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary in Elmhurst.

Arnold was a teacher and football coach at Leyden Township High School and was formerly at Belleville Township and Moline Township high schools. He was inducted into the Illinois Football Coaches Hall of Fame and the St. Louis Metro Area Football Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Heckler); two daughters, Sandra Reese, and her husband, John, and Tammy Zulauf and her husband, Sheldon; two sons, Jeff Arnold and his wife, Donna, and Mike Arnold and his wife, Jennifer; a sister, Rosemary Eichhorst; and four grandchildren, Josh, Ben, Rachel, and Jesse.
