Marie Antoinette Hodapp, 83, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2011 in her home. Born August 31, 1927 in Boscobel, WI the daughter of Andrew and Helen Streck. Married James M. Hodapp in Mankato, MN on August 26, 1950. Graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing in Milwaukee and worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital as well as for the Board of Education in the LPN nursing program retiring in 1983. Faithful member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and was active in several parish groups such as, Eucharistic Ministry, Communion Ministry, Catholic Women's League, Cursillo and Catholic Charismatic Renewal. She was also very proud of her involvement in the Right to Life movement and was president of the Rockford Right to Life in 1970. Marie was also a dedicated volunteer for Northern Illinois Hospice and Greif Center since 1984. She was a wonderful, kind and caring woman who will be missed dearly by all.
