Warren first married Sarah Elizabeth Durrett, on Feb 16, 1890, in Giles County, Tennessee. To this union were born nine children: Celilla Virginia, William Hartwell, Minnie Lee, Pierce, Bessie Josephine, Forrest Coddy, Harris, Cecil Lola and Harold. Both Pierce and Harold died in infancy. After Sarah Elizabeth passed away on April 24, 1920 (from tuberculosis), Warren married Meta Stellyes Schlesselman. Warren and Meta had no children together but Meta's son Henry Schlesselman lived with them for many years and helped with their farm.
