Elizabeth C. Burt, age 77, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away early Sunday morning at Mackinac Straits Hospital where she was a patient for a short time.
Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be buried in Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, August 28, with Rev. Patricia Green, of the St. John's Episcopal church in Mt. Pleasant officiating, where Elizabeth was a member.
Elizabeth was born in Rosebush, MI., on September 25, 1926, to Harry and Esther (House) Assmann. She lived in Mt. Pleasant most of her life, working for Snelling & Snelling Employment; as a secretary for Quandt Insurance, Mt. Pleasant; as a nurses aide at the Mt. Pleasant Home & Training; and as a switchboard operator at MSU for a short time. She was an Ambudsman for the Richard L. Page Frigate.
She is survived by a son, Warren "Dick" Brown of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Judy (George) Logan Of Kinross and Mary (Scot) Bryhan of Petosky; daughter-in-law, Rita Radamacher of Okemos; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Asmann Sr. of Mt. Pleasant and Warren Assmann of Prescott; also, a son, Mark Brown, died on December 15, 1997 of M.S. and she was his caregiver from 1988 to 1997.
Dodson Funeral Hame of St. Ignace handled arrangements.
