PARIS MAN IN PLANE WRECK
David Porter Janes, 46, one of the victim, of Saturday nights' airplane crash near Lovettsville, Va., was a former resident of Paris, Mo., where he was born and reared. Of late years he was a resident of Des Moines, where he was associated with the Interstate Commerce Commission. The body was taken to Paris today for burial.

Many to Paris for Janes Funeral
Funeral services for David P. Janes, former Moberly attorney killed in the Lovettsville, Va., airliner crash Saturday night, were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Paris Christian Church. The church was filled with a large crowd of-friends and former co-workers from throughout Missouri, and representatives from ICC office in Des Moines, la.
The funeral sermon was given by Dr. Bacon, pastor of the Des Moines, la., Methodist Church of which Mr. Janes was a member. The Rev. E. Y. Keiter of Moberly, lifelong friend of Janes, gave a eulogy on his life. Prayer was the Rev. L. M. Hepple, pastor of the Paris Methodist Church. A choir sang, "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Nearer My God To Thee." Masonic rites were conducted in the church and the American Legion conducted graveside services, with Redick O'Bryan of St. Louis, former law partner of Janes, offering a personal eulogy to him there.
Legionnaires here who attended the services and participated were : Ernest Lotter, John H. Smith, Joe Parrish, Frank See, Carter Skirvin, Bert Crumrine, Leroy Hook, Ernest Bryant, Harry Daniels, A. Y. Slate, P. L. Shackelford, Q. V. Williamson and O'Bryan.
