Col. Harry C. Moore received a telegram Sunday afternoon conveying the sad intelligence of the death of Judge Frank West, of Paris, who expired Sunday at the advanced age of 80 years. Uncle Frank West, as he was most generally known, was an old resident of Monroe county, a man of fine character, honorable in every relation of life, and a citizen universally respected, and whose death will be widely regretted. When Col. Moore was a boy he resided at Paris and Uncle Frank west was his guardian, and the news of Mr. Wests death was a source of great sorrow to him, for he lost a benefactor and friend, whom he held in the highest regard.
