Mrs. Elaine Moorehead was born on January 24, 1924. She entered God's Kingdom on July 16, 2011, at the age of 87. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 19, at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in New Salem Cemetery in Attala County. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm on Monday.
Rev. Donald Self, Rev. Randy Dees, and Rev. Mike Steen will officiate. Pallbearers will be Richard Moorehead, Barry Tindoll, Brian Tindoll, Jimmy Davis, Billy Davis, Wesley Reece, Matthew Moorehead, and Casey Tindoll.
Mrs. Moorehead was preceded in death by her parents Homer Sanders and Lena Mae Chandler; her husband, Doty Moorehead; and one daughter, Barbara Bullock.
She was a loving homemaker and mother. She is survived by one son, Toxie Moorehead of West; three daughters, Lu Jumper of Booneville, Linda Tindoll of West, and Peggy Woods of Bolivar, TN. Mrs. Elaine was graciously blessed with 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Elaine was a life-long member of New Salem Baptist Church and will be laid to rest beside her husband.
