Twin brother of John J. Knoll. Baptized 2-6-1869, Berks Co, PA. George was a barber then opened a wallpaper-paint store in north Topeka. He was an artist, became skilled as a decorator and, also did picture framing. He married Eleanor in Topeka around 1915. They had one adopted daughter, Pearl. He closed his store in the 30's and enjoyed his home in his later years. He did some painting and paper hanging, but his big garden was his greatest pride and joy.
