Dorothy Dell "Dot" Carroll
Mrs. Dorothy Dell "Dot" Carroll, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2011 in the Brewton hospital.
Mrs. Carroll was a native and long time resident of Escambia County, AL, and a had lived in Pensacola before returning to the Brewton area. She was employed by Monsanto for over 20 years and enjoyed working as a floral designer and visiting with shut-ins. She was a very special and unique lady, and a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Carroll enjoyed worshipping & serving her savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by a daughter, Sue (Steve) Murphy of Pace, FL; two grandchildren, Jared Murphy of Huntsville, AL and Melissa Murphy of Pace, FL; two sisters, Betty Graves of Brewton and Barbara (Billy) Pope of Phenix City, AL; two brothers, Gordon (Aleatha) Smith of Brewton and Herman (Montez) Smith of Brewton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Summerlin officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bayview Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
Pallbearers: Doug Agerton, Jared Murphy, Alex Smith, James Martin, Brice Martin, Darby Smith.
Visitation will be held at Craver's Funeral Home on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
