Excerpt--Funeral services for Garrett Elias Barlow, 78, of Market St, who died Monday at his home following an illness of four years were held Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment was in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. He was born Sept. 22, 1873, in Preston Co., a son of George and Catherine Shoulte Barlow. He was employed as a stone mason. He had resided in Grafton since 1897. He is survived by his wife, Estella Garlits Barlow, and the following children: Mrs. F. Carl Hoyng of Toledo, Oh., Mrs. C. A. Litzinger of Grafton, W. A. Barlow of Grafton, Mrs. George Riley of Akron, Oh., Mrs. Horance Appleby of Toledo, Oh., James Barlow of Grafton, and Mrs. Thomas Donohue of Baltimore, Md. One sister, Miss. Cecelia Barlow of Morgantown.

G.E. Barlow and Estelle Garlitz marriage was one half of the wedding ceremony of 2 brothers marriage to two sisters. Garrett's brother John Henry Sebastian Barlow married Eleanor Garlitz, Estelle's sister. They were all married on June 8, 1897 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howesville, Preston County, WV.
