She was a 1969 graduate of Concord High School in Concord, NC and Peace College in Raleigh, NC. Becky received her North Carolina Real Estate license in 1989. Most recently, she worked for Realty World in Statesville, where she took a special interest in historic properties.
Becky was active in the Statesville community and especially passionate about the revitalization of downtown Statesville. She was a member of the board of directors for Downtown Statesville Development Corporation (DSDC) and served on its economic restructuring committee, which is involved with planning and recruitment. She also was appointed and served on the city's design review committee and was a member of the Greater Statesville Development Cooperation Committee of 100.
She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Statesville and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was also a former member of the Statesville Community Chorus.
Becky touched many lives and will forever be an inspiration
to her family and many wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Cecil Adams, Sr.
Becky is survived by her mother, Mary Frank Colerider Adams, of Newton-Conover, NC; her husband, O. Jerry Hill, Jr., of Statesville, NC; their daughter, Katie Hill Long, and her husband, W. Brian Long; son, Adam Franklin Hill, and granddaughter, Olivia Rebecca Long, all of Statesville, NC. She is also survived by two brothers, Mike Adams of Wilmington, NC and Jay Adams, his wife Donna, and their children, Elizabeth and James, of Hickory, NC.
