Beloved husband of the late Ellen M. Blauer, stepfather of Robert G. Krucker and the late Daniel G. Krucker. A native San Franciscan, John grew up in the Richmond District, attended George Washington High School and City College. While in high school, he began working at Goldstein's a theatrical costume shop, which was the beginning of a lifelong interest in the theatre. He studied acting in Los Angeles, and worked in costumes in the movie industry and the San Francisco Opera. For many years, he was a member of the Bohemian Club, where he participated in and costumed their productions. He also had an avid interest in miniatures, and was well-known in the miniature-collecting world. At his request, there will be no services.
In 1989,John was the Sire in The Grove Play at the Bohenian Club,in the production of Pompeii.

Ellen died a few years before John,also in the plot is her son Daniel Gaines Krucker. John along with Ellen created the famous Maynard Manor ,a 40 room castle housed in their home at 1807 Octavia St,in San Francisco.


John and Ellen where the backbone in the famous NAME,miniature group,along with the Mott Sisters.
