Linol Scott "Tony" Barnett, 80, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at his home.
Born in Greenville County, SC, he was the son of the late Jessie Lee and Daisy Johnson Barnett. He was retired from W.R. Grace and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise Duncan Barnett; sisters: Nellie Holt of Easley, Shirley Graham of Marietta and Charlene (Jimmy) Hamlett of Gladys, VA; brothers: Bill (Carolyn) Barnett of Greer and Alvin (Donavie) Barnett of Travelers Rest and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Tony was predeceased by sisters: Dorothy Buchanan and Sylvia Jean Short and brothers: Douglas and Negil Barnett.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 2 until 3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his brother, Bill Barnett.
The Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest is in charge of the arrangements.
