SNYDER OILFIELD WORKER DIES

Snyder – Rickey B. Morris, 27, of Snyder, an oilfield worker, died at 8 p.m. Thursday at his home. A ruling on Morris' death is pending a partial autopsy ordered by Justice of the Peace Bobby Goodwin of Snyder.

Snyder police were investigating the death. No foul play was suspected, according to police officers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Bell-Seale Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. James Moss, pastor of Spring Baptist Church in spring, will officiate. Burial will be in Snyder Cemetery.

Born Dec. 7, 1947, in Brownwood, Mr. Morris moved to Snyder in 1949.

Survivors include nine brothers, Eldon, Alfred, Ronnie, Doug and Eugene, all of Snyder, Billy of Abilene, Troy of Clovis, N.M., Roy Dell of Murchison and Douglas of Austin; his mother, Mrs. T. A. Morris of Snyder; and five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Rylander and Mrs. Debra Murphey, both of Snyder, Mrs. Maxine Whittenberg of Murchison, Mrs. Doris Wright of La Mirada, Calif., and Mrs. Mamie Hart of Abilene.
