Private services for Berthol Roy Brown, 81, a retired Lakeside poultry rancher who died Tuesday in a hospital, will be at noon today in Greenwood Mortuary. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Brown, who lived at 1101 Lorna Ave, El Cajon was born in Tennessee. He was a San Diego County resident more than 50 years. Brown was an Army veteran of the Spanish-American War and a member of Bennington Camp, United Spanish War Veterans.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Youngs of La Mesa and Mrs. Estella Sommerville of El Cajon; two sons, including Roy of Campo; a sister, two brothers; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
