Born in Cairo, Ohio, he was a local resident all of his life. Donald retired from the Timken Co. with 42 years service, was a Marine veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 436, former president of Greentown Board of Education, and attended the Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren, where he was actively involved.
Donald was preceded in death by his grandson, Donald Bruce Huff. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gayle; daughters, Kathleen (Richard) Meadows, Claudia (Danny) Rocus, Karen (Herbert) Seil, Colleen (Leroy) Craigg; brother, Glen (Bonnie) Booth; sister, Mildred (Edward) Davis; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m., at Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., Pastor Reid Firestone officiating. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
