Mont Ernest Cox, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away October 27th, 2000.
Mont was born in Price, UT Oct 7, 1931, to Van Ernest and Reva Amanda Bar-ney Cox. He married Janet Miller Cox Aug 27, 1948. They, to-gether with all their children,
were seal-ed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Jan 22, 1969. His beloved Janet passed away July 27, 1994. They were proud parents of nine children and had 27 grandchildren.
Mont was a truck driver and owned his own trucking company, Mont Trucking Inc., for 21 years. He had a real talent for breaking and riding horses.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brothers, Gerald, Leon; and a grandson, Brian Blackburn. He is survived by his children, Trudy (David) Blackburn, Gail, Marlan (Liz), Marla (Joseph) Kanis, Gary (Annette), Tamera (George) Sternberg, Kevan, Wayne (Tina), Matthew (Brenda); 26 grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; brother, Odell; and sisters, Sherrie, Kay, Nancy.
Mont requested a graveside service Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, 3:30 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S Redwood Rd, where family and friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m.Published October 29, 2000 Salt Lake Tribune
