MRS. RUTH SCOTT CAINE, 79, of Hueytown, died Friday. She was a native of Calera and grew up in West Blocton. Mrs. Caine spent her adult life in Jefferson County and was a member of Hueytown First United Methodist Church. She was recently a resident of Fairhaven Retirement Home. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Brown Service West Chapel, with burial in Elmwood. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. O.H. Towers Jr. and Mrs. Floy Spencer Jr., both of Hueytown, and three sons, Daniel James Caine, Bessemer, Thomas W. Caine, Charlotte, N.C., and Harold D. Caine, Hueytown. The family suggests any memorials be made to the organ fund of Hueytown First Methodist Church or to the library fund of the Continuing Presbyterian Church of Hueytown.
