Mrs. Doretta M. Berlin, 92, of 1240 Otter St, widow of John C. Berling, died in her home at 7:15 am today following an extended illness.
A daugher of James and Katherine Reisinger McFetridge, she was born in Polk Oct. 31, 1889. She spent her entire life in this area, attending the public schools a Polk.
Mrs. Berlin was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Women's Bible class of the church. One of her main interests and hobbies was crocheting.
She married John C. Berlin Sept. 8, 1915, and he died March 17, 1953.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Katherine E. Berlin, of Franklin; a son Kenneth J. Berlin of Franklin; five grandchildren; and two great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter Mrs. Norman (Dorothy) Bardsley; and two brothers, Harry and Walter McFetridge.
The family will receive friends in the Huff Chapel from 7 to 9 pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted in the Huff Chapel at 1:30 pm Wednesday with the Rev. John A. Harrington, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery." New Herald, Oil City, PA. July 8, 1982
