Elizabeth H. White, M.D., joined her maker Sunday April 6, 2003. She was born July 16, 1929, in Englewood, CO, to James E. Chelf and Elizabeth Helene Frohbieter.
She moved to Oklahoma City in 1963 when she began classes at the Oklahoma University School of Medicine, graduating Cum Laude in 1967, when she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. Her medical practice was with the Northwest Internal Medicine Division of the Plaza Medical Group at Baptist Medical Center. She was the co-founder of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Amateur Association, and a Lifetime Member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Recently, she enjoyed traveling in her motorhome. She was a member of the "Rollin' Okies," an Oklahoma chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association.
Preceded in death by her first husband in 1957, she is survived by her three children, Gerald Eugene King, Kyle Elizabeth King Roubidoux, and Dallas White Gwin, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of loving friends, colleagues, and patients.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10 2003, at the Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel with interment in the Rose Hill Abbey Mausoleum. Memorials can be made to YWCA Passageway Shelter, 2460 W. 1-44 Service Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
