William Wellington Bagnall born April 21 1816. He married Eliza Jane Lutes, born Sept 20 1826, she is the daughter of Joseph Lutes and Sarah Bridges. She was baptized April 8, 1830 William and Eliza Jane had one son William Charles born Jan 24 1848 according to St. Pauls Church Baptismal records. However one source reports he was unmarried.

Nov 8 1852 the Royal gazette carries this report "Married at Charlottetown on Wednesday evening last, Nov 2 1852 by Rev. J Narroway. Mr. William Bagnall formerly of Charlottetown and now of Ohio, to Grace daughter of George Beer Sr. of Charlottetown" This appears to be a second marriage of William Wellington, so it is presumed that his first wife had died prior to this date. As no record can be found of her death or burial on P.E.I. she may have died in Ohio. On March 22 1839 in the Colonial Herald and P.E.I. advertiser the following notice was placed, "to be sold at Public Auction on May 1 , next if not previously disposed of by private sale, town lot # 56 in the 4th hundred of town lots in Charlottetown. Tradesmen or those desirous of obtaining building lots will find this a good situation for this purpose as it will be divided into three fronts to suit purchasers. This lot is situated near Rochford Square opposite Col. Lane's residence. Apply to William W. Bagnall, Charlottetown.

He was born at Prince Edward Island. He is the son of William Samuel Bagnall and Charlotte Jane Simpson, William W is the grandson of Samuel Bagnall who was what the Canadians call "Loyalist" and what we in America call Torries. It is an intersting story about how they escaped to Canada.

His wife 2nd wife Grace Elizabeth Beer is the daughter of the first Beer to the Island, after they were married they moved to Ohio
