Mrs. Monach died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at her home, 3006 South 24th. She was a native of Macon County, Missouri, but had lived in St. Joseph for the past 56 years. She worked at Methodist Medical Center until she retired in 1973.
Mrs. Monach was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, James L. Monach of St. Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Jo Surbeck of St. Joseph, and Mrs. Kathryn Pinner of Phoenix; a brother, Harold Hunsaker of Buffalo, New York; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Monach, who died in 1948.
