Caroline was one of about 14 children of Henry Reining (1827-1885)and Martha Lucinda (White) Reining (1827-1883). Henry & Lucinda moved on from Illinois to Kansas and are buried near Coffeyville, Kansas. [Reining was sometimes spelled Rhinning on old census records.] Caroline married Jesse Anderson March 26, 1875 in Morgan County, Illinois. Caroline & Jesse had 16 children, 13 of whom reached adulthood.
