He had moved to this county thirty seven years ago from Elbert County and soon after moving here married Miss Mourning Mattox, of this county, and to them were born six children - Mrs. Swift Smith, Mrs. Lee Thomas, Miss Reba, Messrs. John, Alfred and Dunkin. He is survived by six brothers and three sisters, they being Messrs. George, Dunkin, Henry and James of Elbert County, Frank of Macon, and Oscar of South Georgia, Mrs. Sam Hubbard of this county.
Funeral services were conducted by the pastor of Palmetto Church assisted by Rev. Clyde Lee. He was laid to rest near his home.
